Repair Fan Resistor Pack

I noticed the fan is no longer working on positions 1 and 2. Positions 3 and 4 are working fine. It's a common problem and usually caused by a broken coil on the resistor pack. Replacements are quite pricey but the components can be bought from an electronics shop for a much more econonmical home repair. 

The shopping list for Maplin:

  1. 1 x 0.22Ω 10W wire-wound resistor. Code H0.22
  2. 2 x 0.56Ω 10W wire-wound resistor. Code H0.56
  3. 1 x 1Ω 10W wire-wound resistor. Code H1R
