At last, I found a reasonable priced balljoint splitter! €11.95 in Goughs off Capel St. Anywhere else I tried were looking for about €35 - too much for something I'm not going to use often.
The balljoints popped straight off thanks to this bad boy and the help of a few hammer whacks. Now, with no more balljoints to split, I'm left with a very heavy duty tuning fork.
